Job Title: Reconciliation Officer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Reconciliation Officer to join our
finance team for a growing FinTech company. The role will be responsible for managing the
reconciliation of transactions across various payment gateways, digital wallets, and financial
systems to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and financial transparency for our FinTech product
offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
● Transaction Reconciliation:
○ Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly financial transactions between internal
systems, payment gateways, banks, and third-party financial partners.
○ Monitor and review transactions for discrepancies, missing payments, or errors
and resolve them in a timely manner.
○ Ensure the accuracy of data across multiple financial platforms and perform
audits as needed.
● Account Management:
○ Maintain accurate records of all transactions and reconciliations.
○ Reconcile bank statements with internal financial records and balances, ensuring
consistency across all accounts.
○ Assist in managing cash flow and monitoring financial activities for discrepancies
or anomalies.
● Issue Resolution:
○ Investigate discrepancies in account balances or transaction records, identifying
the root cause and working closely with internal teams and external partners to
resolve them.
○ Act as a point of contact for any reconciliation-related issues with payment
processors, banks, and partners.
● Reporting & Compliance:
○ Prepare reconciliation reports and ensure all financial records are up to date and
accurate.
○ Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and industry
best practices.
○ Support internal and external audits by providing reconciliation documentation
and assisting in audit preparation.
○ Submit weekly reports of activities to the HR department
● Process Improvement:
Review and optimize reconciliation processes and workflows to enhance
efficiency and accuracy.
○ Work with the product and development teams to improve internal financial tools
and systems related to reconciliation processes.
Key Qualifications:
● Education:
○ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
● Experience:
○ 2-4 years of experience in reconciliation or a similar finance role, preferably in a
FinTech or financial services environment.
○ Experience working with payment gateways, digital wallets, or online financial
products is highly preferred.
● Skills:
○ Strong knowledge of financial reconciliation processes, banking operations, and
transaction flow.
○ Proficient in using financial software, accounting systems, and reconciliation tools
(e.g., Excel, QuickBooks, or specialized fintech reconciliation software).
○ Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a high level of attention
to detail.
○ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal
teams and external partners.
○ Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced
environment.
● Certifications:
○ Any Relevant certifications in related fields.
Preferred Attributes:
● Experience in the FinTech sector or a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
● Familiarity with different payment systems, digital payment processing, and online
transaction environments.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.
Salary range: 250,000-350,000
