Job Title: Underwriter
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Salary: N250k – N500k Net
Job Summary:
The Underwriter will be assisting in carrying out technical operations of underwriting and to promote the revenue, profitablity, and growth of the underwriting department.
Key Responsibilities:
-Must have good knowledge and experience in general & Life Insurance.
– Underwriting decision
– Risk management and analysis
– Policy wording and drafting
– Relationship management
– Product development and maintenance
– Technical support and training
Qualifications:
• HND / BSC in Insurance or any related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience.
• Membership of a professional body would be an added advantage
(ACII certification, etc)
• Planning and Organizing.
• Computer Application Proficiency.
• Teamwork & Interpersonal Skills.
• Relationship Management Skills.
• Good Oral & Written Communication Skills.
• Initiative.
• Ability to work with Minimal Supervision.
• Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the general concepts of
insurance and life assurance to be able to perform the Principal Tasks.
