ROLE: Deputy Financial Controller
LOCATION: Lagos (fully onsite)
INDUSTRY: Port and Terminal
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The job holder is responsible for managing the Finance and Accounting operations on reporting variances, analysis, preparing budget, and financial forecasts. The job holder also prepares and publishes financial statements and reports to guide decision-making.
· Prepare and produce the financial reports, the analysis requires, the BP to guide decision-making
· Support HOD to follow the Gross Margin vs forecast;
· Ensuring the quality of the Monthly Accounting Closing, YEF and Budget;
· Ensure a quality of cost control is done in accordance to our existing procedure and in coherence with the budget and current level of GM activity
· Developing and maintaining reporting and budget procedures (6 companies)
· Inform the management of any information relevant regarding the business activity or environment (rate variation, new contract with customers…)
· Ensures the accuracy of the financial and business analysis reporting process in the strict respect of the deadline.
· Prepares the various reporting required by HQ and ensures their consistency.
· Anchors the annual budget preparation process
· Provides accurate information about the cost per equipment, its evolution and propose corrective actions to management.
· Provides accurate information about the cost of company’s operations and their evolution to management.
· Supports Heads of Departments (not limited to operations) in generating departmental monthly statistics
· BSc. in Finance or Accounting, Economics from an accredited institution.
· MSc. or MBA is an added advantage.
· Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (Microsoft Access will be a plus)
· Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Accounting / Financial Analysis / Business Analysis/ Internal Audit / Statutory Audit Experience /Cost control.
· ACCA, CFA, CPA, or other relevant qualifications within or outside Nigeria with Proven skills and experiences are required.
· Big 4/ FMCG/ Integrated Logistics Experience will be added advantage
