*Job Summary:*

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory within the restaurant. This includes ensuring accurate inventory levels, monitoring stock movements, and maintaining optimal stock levels to meet operational demands. The Inventory Supervisor will work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure the seamless availability of ingredients and supplies, aiming to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

*Inventory Management:*

– Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions.

– Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.

– Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed to ensure adequate supply.

– Receive, inspect, and verify the accuracy of incoming shipments.

 

*Stock Control:*

– Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.

– Ensure proper storage of inventory items, following safety and hygiene standards.

– Track usage rates of inventory items and identify trends to forecast future needs.

 

*Waste Reduction:*

– Develop and implement strategies to minimize inventory waste.

– Monitor expiration dates and ensure proper rotation of stock (FIFO – First In, First Out).

– Collaborate with kitchen staff to optimize ingredient usage and reduce spoilage.

 

*Vendor Management:*

– Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

– Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

– Resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or quality of goods.

 

*Reporting and Documentation:*

 

– Prepare and present regular inventory reports to management.

– Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.

– Ensure compliance with all inventory-related policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications:

 

*Education:*

– High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field is preferred.

 

*Experience:*

 

– Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.

– Experience with inventory management software and systems.

 

*Skills:*

– Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

– Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

– Good communication and interpersonal skills.

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and inventory management software.
