Job title: CHIEF; Internal Auditor

Location: Lagos


1. Ensure that a yearly risk-based audit plan covering all the bank risk areas is in place, approved and followed.

2. Ensure efficiency and high quality of work in the unit.

3. Assist external auditors and regulatory bodies as requested.

4. Execute detailed audit procedures, including review of transactions, documents, records,

reports, policies and procedures for accuracy and effectiveness.

5. Prepare work papers which record and summarize audit procedures performed.

6. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls over those activities.

7. Follow-up to determine compliance with audit recommendations and adequacy of corrective

Qualification & Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in business, accounting, finance, economics or a related area of study

• Minimum of 7 years of work experience

• At least 5 years in a management position at Microfinance Bank.

• Must have Microfinance Banking certificate of CIBN)

• Professional certification in accountancy a must (ICAN or ACCA)

• Risk Management experience.

• IT Audit experience.

• Possession of extensive experience in auditing, and a thorough understanding of Microfinance Banking and accounting practices.

• Experienced in strategic planning and budgeting.
