Job Description
Verify, allocate and reconcile all accounting transactions ensuring proper revenue recognition of the different categories of the company’s products and service offerings.
Prepare, review and upload monthly journal entries for month-end close.
Manage the sales invoicing process into the software and carry out necessary balance closures to agree the books.
Take cognizance of inflows from account receivables and outflows to account payables and provide information to the CFO for maintaining a healthy working capital ratio balance.
Track ageing analysis of Account Receivables and proactively engage with customers to ensure prompt receipt of payments to bring down the collection period to its barest maximum.
Generate and prepare periodic financial reports such as Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow to aid preparation of relevant analysis and interpretation of results by the CFO.
Support the CFO with the budget collation process and provide input to continually reduce operating expenditure costs below budgetary estimates.
Ensure necessary tax deductions are applied on invoices as appropriate, provide data on all such tax obligations for review by the CFO prior to filing and the making of associated remittances to the relevant authorities.
Provide required support and documentation during the annual audit exercise.
Continually audit the customer license provisioning system by the Sales unit to eliminate inherent financial losses arising from extended time provisioning as well as non- cancellation of expired subscriptions.
